I just spent $4.99 at Bass Pro Shop for some very nice earplugs.
My new Jelli Snug Plugs get a 28 noise reduction rating. (The highest rating is 34.) They're comfortable and effective.
Happily for me, these earplugs attach to a neck cord. I've been known to jam earplugs so deep into my head that needle nose pliers were needed to extract them.
